Bob Libby is the principal for the fire protection engineering department and is growing and organizing the company’s fire protection engineering capabilities on a national and global scale. He has been instrumental in bringing key fire protection professionals to Coffman. Together with other fire protection staff, Coffman has landed significant contracts with key clients in the hospitality, industrial, and commercial markets.
Bob has extensive experience in the specification, bid, award, installation management, testing and acceptance of fire protection systems in commercial buildings. All projects include the sound application of National Fire Protection Association standards and often owner expectations that exceed minimum code requirements. Technical standards include: NFPA 13 “Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems”; NFPA 25 Standard for the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems”; and NFPA 72 “National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code”. Project work often includes the integration of NFPA requirements with the fire protection requirements of the International Codes.
