United States Fire Administration

An agency within the United States Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency

The United States Fire Administration (USFA) is dedicated to reducing loss due to fire and related emergencies through leadership, advocacy, coordination and support. The USFA has been a force in the fire protection and emergency service communities since its inception, providing an encompassing view of fire protection in the United States.  The USFA consists of several recognized suborgaizations, including the National Fire Academy.

 

The USFA is interested in all realms of fire protection and life safety, with special emphasis on the emergency response.  The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) works in concert with the USFA via the Educational and Scientific Foundation, training opportunities and technical activities.
