How to play a scramble
each player will play a ball from the teeing ground. The best ball will be selected and the remaining balls retrieved. Each player will then play from no further than one foot from the chosen position, and not nearer the hole, until all have played. It is suggested that the position be marked with a tee or coin. This method of play shall continue to the green. Once on the green, a marker shall be placed adjacent to the selected position. Each player will play from that position. This procedure shall continue until the team has holed out. NOTE: do not tap in a short putt until all players have attempted the longer putt.
Course Courtesy
A team's position on the course is immediately behind the foursome in front of them, NOT immediately in front of the foursome behind them. The maximum score allowable on any hole is a double bogie; if you reach that score, pick up and move on to better things at the next hole. If you fall more than a hole behind, you may skip a hole to catch up and give yourself a double bogie for the missed hole.
