Electronic Ballot Results: Revised SFPE Constitution and Bylaws

On 16 April, 2015 balloting opened for a complete revision to the SFPE Constitution. All voting SFPE Members on that date were provided with a link to an electronic balloting system. Per the existing Constitution, in Article 14, Section 14.4, the ballot was open for a period of 60 days. This 60 day balloting period ended on 14 June, 2015, at 10:00 PM US Eastern Daylight Time.
In accordance with Article 15, Section 14.3 of the existing Constitution, President Michael Madden appointed Tellers to verify the results of the electronic balloting provided by the balloting vendor, Association Voting. Tellers were provided login credentials to review the results in AssociationVoting.com as well as the list of eligible voters that was provided to the vendor. Individual votes are NOT disclosed to the Tellers.

Number of votes cast: 754
Number necessary for approval: 503
Number of yes votes: 675
Number of no votes: 79
Number of incomplete ballots: 50
On 16 June, 2015, the Tellers notified the Secretary-Treasurer that the election results had been certified. Therefore, President Michael Madden has declared that the revised Constitution and Bylaws of SFPE are adopted, with the provisos, effective immediately.
