Human Behavior in fire task group

Mission

The Task Group on Human Behavior will develop guidance on accounting for human behavior in engineered fire protection design. Topics to be considered include response to cues, pre-movement activities, predicting egress time and the effects of hazardous conditions on human behavior.


Current Activity

A first draft of the SFPE Guide to Human Behavior in Fire, 2nd Edition will be going out for public comments in late 2016. Check back for details.
