John Ivison (Term 2018)
John Ivison, PEng, FSFPE has been a member of SFPE since 1972, and was elected to Professional Member grade in 1975. John has been in private practice as a fire protection engineer since the 1970s. He has acted as a fire protection consultant on government of British Columbia historic sites as well as renovation and refurbishment projects in historic districts of Vancouver. His practice revolves around historic conversions in the Gastown and Yaletown districts of Vancouver. He has been responsible for the design of fire protection improvements at Historic Hat creek Ranch, Fort Steele and other pioneer centers in the BC interior.
