2018 SFPE Award Nominations Now Open

Do you know a fire protection engineer, fire safety engineer, or student who is doing exceptional work and deserves recognition? Now is your chance to nominate this individual for the 2018 SFPE Awards. More than 10 awards are available! View the award categories and nomination form here.

Awards will be presented at the SFPE North America Conference & Expo being held October 27 – November 2, 2018 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Examples of awards for which you can submit nominations:

  • Fire Protection Person of the Year Award — recognizes significant achievement in the protection of humanity and the environment from the ravages of unwanted fire and an outstanding contribution to fire protection from outside the membership of SFPE.

  • The David A. Lucht Lamp of Knowledge Award — honors an organization, company, or individual that has contributed substantially to increasing the opportunities for higher education in fire protection engineering.
  •  The John L. Bryan Mentoring Award — presented to an individual who exemplifies commitment and dedication to educating, training, and advising fire protection engineers.
  •  The Arthur B. Guise Medal — recognizes eminent achievement in the advancement of the science and technology of fire protection engineering. The achievement may be in research, development, design, innovation, management, education or literature.
  •  Student Scholar Award — recognizes high-performing students who are conducting research to advance the science and practice of fire protection engineering.
