Matthew Coaley is currently pursuing a Fire Safety Engineering degree at the University of Lancashire, building on a strong foundation of hands-on industry experience. His fire safety journey began within a lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment, where he gained valuable insight into COMAH regulations, emergency planning, and the unique challenges associated with high-hazard operations.
Alongside his studies, he works as an Apprentice Fire Engineer with Falck Fire Services UK, supporting fire safety and emergency response within the high-hazard chemical processing sector. This role continues to strengthen his technical knowledge, operational awareness, and commitment to ensuring safe and resilient industrial environments.
