On April 13 (Thursday), the Society of Fire Protection China Chapter had their kick-off meeting in 1266 Nanjing Xi Road, 66 plaza office building Shanghai for celebrating the chapter's establishment approved by the SFPE board on March 21, 2006. The event was organized by the China chapter planning committee led by (Ms Fang Li) from RJA Shanghai office along with Mr. Jiezhou (general manager of FM Shanghai office) and Mr. Benjamin Qin (general manager of Fire and Safety System from Honeywell Shanghai office). There were about 15 members attended this event.

The meeting was started with a welcome speech given by Mr Zhoujie, followed by Ms Fang Li 's power point to introduce the SFPE organization in general and the China chapter 's establishment process and its working plan for both short term and long term. Mr Benjiamin Qin is the chair during this meeting.

All the members felt very exciting and grateful for the opportunity and are hoping to use this platform to build up the further dialogue with SFPE other Chapters around the world.

The priority working agenda has been identified is to further promote SFPE in China by expending more membership and start to look for more geographic coverage for SFPE presents in China.
