Introduction to Industrial Fire Protection Engineering
This seminar is intended for engineers and technicians interested in expanding their knowledge and understanding of the application of fire protection engineering design to industrial facilities. Those involved in the design, operation, emergency response, and risk management of industrial facilities will benefit from this seminar. A basic understanding of the principles of protection engineering would be helpful but is not essential to benefit from this program.
The learning objective of this two day seminar is to provide the participant with a better understanding of the potential fire hazards common to industrial facilities and fire protection engineering techniques that cam be used to prevent or mitigate fires in these facilities. The program will include student exercises demonstrating the application of the principles and techniques presented in the seminar to specific industrial facilities.
Seminar Outline:
- Fire Protection Engineering Design
- Fire Prevention
- Fire Mitigation
- Understanding Industrial Fire Hazards
