Principles and Application of Egress Modeling

Upon completion of this seminar the participants will have an improved understanding of the value and limitations of egress models, the assumptions on which they are based, the differences between the models, the fundamentals of applying them, and a realistic assessment of the results that can be produced.

This one day seminar is intended for those intending to apply egress tools or judge the results produced from egress modeling. The seminar outline is 1) The theory behind egress modeling, 2) Techniques and assumptions employed, 3) The current understanding of the phenomena that is modeled and the data required to support, develop and apply these models, 4) Methods to distinguish between the models available, 5) Demonstration of several egress modeling approaches, 6) Results that can produced by these models, 7) Interpreting and understanding the results produced, and 8) Overview of the future development of egress modeling.
