The SFPE Foundation, a charitable non-profit affiliate of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers established in 1979, partners with a wide range of global stakeholders to enhance the scientific understanding of fire and its interaction with the social, natural, and built environments. 

Partnering with the SFPE Foundation

In addition to your support of SFPE, there are many ways companies, institutions, agencies, and other organizations can make a difference through supporting SFPE Foundation programs. These opportunities include: 

• Corporate Support – Become a Corporate Donor by making annual philanthropic donations that support major research projects, student grants, awards, and our operations 

• Strategic Projects – Support strategic projects involving global collaboration on topics like the Grand Challenges Initiative or the Wildland-Urban Interface Working Group Initiative 

• Multi-Year Gifts – Make a directed multi-year corporate gift to a specific program, such as the Student Research Grants 

• Student Research – Make directed gifts to support students conducting research in human behavior, expanding fire engineering expertise in developing countries, or student travel to conferences and other events
