Conference Schedule

The conference will feature 50+ presentations structured around the topics focused on Industrial Fire Protection, Smoke Control, Performance-based Design, Adaptive Reuse and Retrofits, Infrastucture, Cladding, Carparks, Fire Dynamics, Data Centers, Structural Fire Engineering, Emerging Technologies, Fire Safety Systems and Human Behavior. 

The opening keynote will be presented by Chief Roderick M. Smith of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department. Additional highlights include panel discussions on Evolving Fire Protection Strategies for Modern Data Centers and Fire Protection Strategies for Retail & Big Box Occupancies, poster presentations, and sessions showcasing initiatives supported by the SFPE Foundation.

Attendees may earn up to 14.50 Professional Development Credits through participation in conference sessions.

2026 Top Abstract Award Winners

This prestigious award is selected by the Annual Conference Program Committee, and it is awarded to the highest-rated abstract submission. The winning abstract technical presentation titled "Beyond the Consensus Process: The Evolving Landscape of Single-Exit Stairway Multifamily Code Development" will be presented by Nicholas Ozog and Kyle Christiansen on Wednesday, October 7, at 1:40 PM ET.
