Deadline June 1, 2026 for Priority Consideration.
The SFPE Foundation was awarded a grant from the United Engineering Foundation to bring students and early-career researchers and professionals from a wide range of interdisciplinary engineering backgrounds to the 2026 Wildland-Urban Interface Fire Engineering Summit August 10-12 at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The travel grant and complimentary registration are open to full-time students (undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate), post-doctoral researchers, and early-career researchers in academic or professional settings. To qualify as an early-career researcher or professional, you must no longer be a full-time student or post-doc, but also no more than 5 years from graduation; and, you must also be actively researching or working on WUI fire-related topics in either an academic or industry setting.
