Travel Grant & Complimentary Registration Application for Students & Early-Career Researchers

The SFPE Foundation was awarded a grant from the United Engineering Foundation to bring 50 students and early-career researchers and professionals from a wide range of interdisciplinary engineering backgrounds to the 2026 Wildland-Urban Interface Fire Engineering Summit August 10-12 at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Grant recipients include attendees, speakers, poster presenters, and student pitch competition team members. View the WUI Summit Program to read grant recipient biographies and presentation abstracts.

Recipients will be reimbursed for up to $1,000 in travel grant funds and/or complimentary registration for the WUI Summit (an additional $650 value).
