April Hammond-Berkol and David de Vries Fund Campaign
The April Hammond-Berkol and De Vries Fund Campaign is a donation challenge in tribute to the retired Professor Robert W. Fitzgerald of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). This fund campaign is a challenge donation. For every dollar donated to the fund from SFPE members and SFPE chapters, Hammond-Berkol will contribute one dollar (up to a maximum $2,500 per year) for the next five years for a maximum of $17,500 during the five-year campaign. UL Solutions and UL Research Institutes Matching Campaign
The UL Solutions and UL Research Institutes Matching Campaign will match donations to the Annual Fund, the Guylène Proulx Scholarship Fund, and the Robert W. Fitzgerald Fund Challenge. Under this matching campaign, UL will contribute up to $25,000 per year for three years by matching contributions made by SFPE members and SFPE chapters. All contributions made by UL under this campaign will be devoted to student research projects related to fire safety.
Student Travel Fund
The SFPE Foundation is dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of fire and its interaction with the social, natural and built environments. Our awards and scholarships help us deliver on that mission by recognizing and supporting the outstanding work and dedication of academic, professional, and student leaders across the fire engineering community. The Student Travel Fund will support travel stipends to students and individuals receiving honors, awards, and, or scholarships that include invitations to present at in-person events.
