Emerging Professionals

The Emerging Professionals Subcommittee of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (EP) is a community of SFPE members with up to 10 years experience in fire protection engineering. Emerging Professionals members have the shared interests of networking with peers, advancing their professional development and supporting the Society.

The Goals of the EP committee are:

  1. Establish a community of peers that fosters networking and interaction amongst SFPE’s newer members who are early in their career. Including engaging members of SFPE Student and Local Chapters.
  2. Provide guidance to members who are considered to be early in their career or considering a career in fire protection engineering.
  3. Develop continuing education opportunities that are relevant to and geared toward the next generation of fire engineers’ learning style.
