2025 AI in Fire Engineering Summit (hosted by SFPE Foundation and partners) | May 28-30, 2025

Join SFPE Foundation, NFPA Research Foundation, University of California Berkeley Engineering, and the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center on May 28-30, 2025 to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and fire engineering. Identified as a top priority for research, education, and outreach in the Grand Challenges Initiative (GCI) Digitalization, Artificial Intelligence (AI), & Cybersecurity white paper, this meeting will focus on the current state of AI in fire engineering, as well as chart a path forward for critical areas of research to advance fire safety globally. Net proceeds from the event will be used by the SFPE Foundation and NFPA's Fire Protection Research Foundation to fund projects on AI and Fire Engineering.

Save the Date! 2025 SFPE Engineering Solutions Symposium: Modern Storage Challenges | August 12-14 in Chicago, IL

Join us for a technical engineering symposium dedicated to modern fire safety challenges in storage facilities, warehouses, and distribution centers. Topics covered during the event will focus on automated storage, protection of multi-row racks, cold storage design considerations, lithium-ion battery storage, and fire department response to large storage occupancies. Following the completion of the two days of educational content, day 3 will consist of a large-scale fire test (LSFT) at the nearby UL Solutions campus in Northbrook, IL. Registration opens May 2025.
