Join us for an engineering symposium dedicated to the fire safety challenges of battery systems, from consumer electronics and e-bikes to EV (electric vehicles) and building BESS (battery energy storage systems). These are among the most challenging and most recent new hazards from an overall fire safety perspective. Many aspects must be considered when designing for fire protection and life safety of such systems. This 3-day, in-person event will discuss fire protection challenges. An outstanding panel of international experts comes together to share their knowledge and best practices with fire protection engineers, designers, insurers, manufacturers, facility owners and managers, and first responders.
Topics covered during the event will focus on li-ion battery hazard fundamentals, fire safety codes and standards, and safety challenges and mitigation approaches specific to e-mobility, EV and ESS. Following the completion of two and a half days of educational content, day 3 will conclude with a tour of a new constructed state of the art data center with a li-ion battery backup.
Registration will open in August. For more information and to view the hotel/venue, you can visit here.
