The course emphasizes recognizing criteria for evaluating fire models, assessing factors influencing model choice, and navigating project constraints in the selection process. Participants will also become proficient in applying the Fire Model Substantiation Flow Chart and understanding the intricate relationship between initial and boundary conditions. The course addresses strategies for handling uncertainty in fire modeling and provides a high-level overview of modeling types, including their assumptions, limitations, and unique advantages and disadvantages.
