Energy Code Impact on Commissioning and Integrated Testing

Architects, designers, engineers, and jurisdictional enforcement personnel will benefit from this discussion outlining the changes in the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) as well as American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards and NFPA 1, Fire Code that are driving new requirements for commissioning and integrated testing. The Energy Code Impact on Commissioning and Integrated Testing presentation will provide a road map to conformance via the requirements in NFPA 3, Standard for Commissioning of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems and NFPA 4, Standard for Integrated Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems Testing. Participants will learn the definitions of acceptance testing, commissioning, and integrated testing and understand the path to compliance with the updated IECC, ASHRAE, and NFPA requirements. Intended to provide an explanation of the driving factors behind commissioning and integrated testing requirements this presentation will also define the roles and responsibilities of architects, designers, engineers, and jurisdictional enforcement personnel in the commissioning and integrated testing process.
