Technical Guidelines for Fire Safety in Timber Buildings

With it now being permissible to build multi-story buildings with timber in most European countries, the SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP) has published a technical guideline on the fire-safe use of timber structures and products that fulfill the European fire requirements and fire categories.

It also provides instructions for the design of timber structures in accordance with Eurocode 5 and practical guidelines for fire safety with clear examples. The content is intended for everyone who works with timber and fire safety in some manner (e.g., architects, engineers, educators, authorities, and the construction industry).
