Dear SFPE Europe members and others interested in Fire Safety,
The 15th SFPE Fire Safety Conference & Expo on Performance Based Design was arranged in Copenhagen, Denmark, April 17-19. With over 300 participants from over 40 countries the event was a success. This turnout underscores the strong interest and engagement in fire safety engineering and performance-based design within the SFPE community.
In Europe the initiation of the 21st national SFPE chapter is ongoing, and we also have 4 student chapters up and running. These chapters vary in their stages of development, from newly established to well-established with strong local foundations. Through discussions with chapter leaders, it has become clear that one of SFPE Europe's most vital roles is to facilitate the exchange of best practices among chapters. We have much to learn from each other! Additionally, member growth is a frequently discussed priority. If you are not yet a member of a local chapter, we encourage you to explore the ongoing activities in your country.
