Dear SFPE Europe members,
We are fast approaching the end of another unusual year. Another one we will remember for the turmoil caused by the war in Ukraine.
At our third and last SFPE Europe General Assembly Meeting in 2022 we were able to appoint another two new SFPE Europe Board Members. We welcome Kathrin Grewolls and Luciano Nigro in their new roles. This is another milestone for SFPE Europe. We also thank Beth Tubbs as outgoing SFPE President for her participation in all SFPE Europe Board meetings and her support this year. For next year, we look forward to have Jimmy Jönsson joining us as the new SFPE President.
And we have made great progress in organizing next year's SFPE European Conference & Expo on Fire Safety Engineering, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, March 27th -30th, 2023. The conference program is in place, and I believe we have a very interesting program. Registration is also open! You can register for in-person participation, and I look forward to meeting you in person. If you are not able to travel, you can join by virtual participation. We have decided to reserve the afternoon of Tuesday March 28th, 2023 for SFPE Europe meetings.
We will start with an SFPE Europe Board of Directors Meeting (13:00-14:00), then invite all the chapter leaders for our second European Chapter Leadership Forum (14:00-15:30), followed by our SFPE Europe General Assembly (16:00-17:30). After that, we will join the Cocktail Reception to which all are invited.
A big thank you to the Program Committee and SFPE staff for organizing a great conference. I look forward to meeting you in Berlin!
